1. Legal Disclaimer

NSFW Manager (the Software) is provided by mmitnyan (the Author) as a desktop utility designed to assist users in identifying, classifying, and managing potentially sensitive or explicit media files stored locally on their own computers.

The Software is intended solely as a personal organization and privacy tool. It is not a content moderation service, a law enforcement tool, or a replacement for human judgment. Detection results are probabilistic in nature and are subject to false positives and false negatives. The Author makes no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any detection result produced by the Software.

The Software does not access, transmit, upload, or share any of your files, images, or videos with any third party, server, or cloud service. All processing occurs exclusively on your local machine.

2. Liability Waiver & Limitation

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED AS IS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
• IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR, COPYRIGHT HOLDER, OR ANY CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

• THE USER ASSUMES FULL AND SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE LOCAL, PROVINCIAL, STATE, NATIONAL, AND INTERNATIONAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS REGARDING THE POSSESSION AND MANAGEMENT OF DIGITAL CONTENT.

3. Privacy & Local Processing

NSFW Manager is designed with a privacy-first architecture. The following principles govern how the Software handles your data:

• 100% local processing: All image analysis and classification is performed exclusively on your local machine using embedded AI models (ONNX). No file content, image data, metadata, or personal information is transmitted to any external server.
• No telemetry: The Software does not collect usage statistics, crash reports, or any form of telemetry data.
• No account required for detection: Core detection features operate without any network connectivity.
• License validation: For licensed versions, the Software may contact api.nsfwmanager.com solely to validate your license key. No file data is transmitted during this process.
• File operations: Any file moves, deletions, or quarantine actions are performed locally and are the sole responsibility of the user.

4. Content Warning & Acceptable Use

NSFW Manager is designed exclusively for lawful personal use by adults. By using the Software, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• You will use the Software only in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• You will not use the Software to process, classify, or manage any content that depicts minors in a sexual or exploitative manner. Such use is strictly prohibited and may be subject to criminal prosecution.
• You are solely responsible for the legality of any content stored on your device that is processed by the Software.
• You will not use the Software as a tool to facilitate the illegal distribution, production, or possession of prohibited material.

Note on ifnude (optional engine, not bundled): ifnude is an optional detection engine available via pip install ifnude. It is not included in the distributed binary or source package. End-users install it independently and accept its own license (GPLv3). Because it is never bundled, it does not affect NSFW Manager's MIT license.
