General

NSFW Manager scans folders on your computer to detect images that may contain explicit or sensitive content. Flagged files are shown in the interface where you can review, quarantine, or delete them. Everything runs locally no files are ever uploaded.
Yes for scanning. The only time an internet connection is needed is for licence validation when you first enter your key, and for renewals. Day-to-day scanning is 100% offline.
Absolutely. No file content, file names, or scan results ever leave your machine. See our Privacy section in the User Guide for full details.
Currently Windows 10/11 64-bit. macOS and Linux support is on the roadmap.
Not yet. NSFW Manager v2.0 scans image files (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WEBP, TIFF). Video scanning is planned for a future release.

Installation

From download.nsfwmanager.com click Download Now the trial version to get nsfwmanager-latest.msi.
No. The installer bundles everything needed. Python is only required if you want to use the optional ifnude open-source engine.
The base installer is small. The built-in engine (model_int8) is included. The Rapid and Slow engines are optional downloads (~165 MB and ~330 MB respectively).
Each licence key is bound to one machine at a time. To move to a new computer, unregister your current machine from the portal and activate on the new one.

Licence & Billing

The Yearly plan costs 19.99 $CAD/year. The Lifetime plan costs 59.99 $CAD once and never expires.
The Trial lets you scan unlimited files and use all engines. The only restriction is a 20-file move limit per session.
Log in to login.nsfwmanager.com. Your key appears in the Dashboard under your active licences.
Go to Settings → Licence, enter your email and licence key, then click Validate.
Log in to the portal and click Renew Now on the expired licence. After payment, re-validate in the app.
  1. Log in to login.nsfwmanager.com.
  2. Click Unregister Machine next to your licence.
  3. Install the app on your new computer.
  4. Enter your email and key in Settings → Licence and click Validate.
Your licence is already bound to a different computer. Unregister it from the portal and re-activate on the current machine.

Detection Engines

  • Speed matters → Le Pas Stressé (Rapid Engine) faster.
  • Accuracy matters → Le Scruteur à la Loupe (Slow Engine) thorough.
  • Open-source fan → Le Rebelle (ifnude) install with pip install ifnude.
No. Only one engine is active per scan. You can switch engines between scans.
These engines require a separate download. Go to Settings → Engines and click Download.
ifnude uses the GPLv3 licence which is incompatible with NSFW Manager’s MIT licence for bundling. It must be installed independently: pip install ifnude
The score is the AI model’s confidence that a file contains NSFW content. A score above 50% (default threshold) flags the file. Adjust in Settings → Detection → NSFW threshold.

File Operations

The file is moved (not copied) to your configured quarantine folder. The original path is logged. The file is not deleted you review it and decide.
Yes. Open the Quarantine tab, find the file, and click Restore. It returns to its original location.
Default: %APPDATA%\NsfwManager\Quarantine\. Change it in Settings → Quarantine → Change folder.
Yes. NSFW Manager uses send2trash which moves files to the Windows Recycle Bin. A permanent delete option is also available with a confirmation dialog.
If you used Move to Quarantine → yes, use Restore in the Quarantine tab. If you used Delete → check your Windows Recycle Bin.

Troubleshooting

  1. Click Stop to interrupt safely.
  2. Try scanning a smaller sub-folder first.
  3. Ensure you have enough RAM (8 GB+ recommended).
  4. Report the bug with your OS version and file count.
Switch to Le Pas Stressé (Rapid Engine), close other applications, and scan a specific sub-folder rather than your entire drive.
CLI, auto-sorting and API access are Lifetime only. If you have a Lifetime licence and still see locks, re-validate in Settings → Licence.
Download the latest installer from www.nsfwmanager.com and run it. Your settings and licence file are preserved.
